About Compass
Compass is an enterprise architecture firm.
We architect the system required to achieve an organization's next growth curve — strategic intent, 80/20 simplification, leadership architecture, structure and governance, operating cadence, decision rights, performance management, and technology as enabler. Architecture determines performance.

Why Compass exists
To build the bridge between where an organization is today and what it is capable of becoming.
The organizations we work with have already achieved success. They are not broken. The architecture that produced today's results was designed for a different scale, a different market, and a different set of decisions.
We are not process improvers, executive coaches, or technology implementers in the traditional sense. We design and integrate the enterprise so strategy can be translated into consistent execution — then transfer the capability.
Compass leaves architects, not dependency.
The Five Beliefs of Compass
Convictions we hold before we begin the work.
- 01
Every organization is perfectly designed to produce the results it is currently getting. Different outcomes require redesigning the architecture—not asking people to work harder.
- 02
Organizations rarely fail because people do not care. They fail because the architecture no longer supports the mission.
- 03
Leadership is architecture. Leaders design clarity, alignment, decision rights, culture, trust, accountability, learning, and execution.
- 04
Execution is never accidental. Execution is engineered.
- 05
The greatest legacy of leadership is creating leaders who no longer depend on you.
The Eight Laws of Organizational Architecture™
The principles that govern the work.
- 01
Reality is the foundation. Face reality with faith.
- 02
Complexity always wins until simplified.
- 03
People support what they architect.
- 04
Leadership determines the limits of performance.
- 05
Every organization has an architecture—intentional or accidental.
- 06
Capability compounds. Dependency does not.
- 07
The bridge is never finished.
- 08
Organizations become what leaders repeatedly architect.
