What the forum is for, and exactly how you join it.One question per page. This page answers four: why the room exists, how the format works, how a leader becomes a member, and what happens on day one. Step 01: The PurposeOne room, one job: examine the decision before it is made. A Compass Executive Forum exists for one reason: to give an executive a confidential room of noncompeting peers where the decisions that carry real consequence can be examined before they are made — and where the commitment that follows is held to account. Better decisionsEvery member brings a live issue. The room tests the framing and the assumptions before the decision becomes a commitment. Real accountabilityWhat you commit to is written down and revisited in front of the people who heard you say it. Architecture, not adviceIssues are worked against the Compass Enterprise Architecture™, so the fix addresses the design that produced the result — not the symptom. Step 02: The FormatVirtual. Once a month. Up to three hours. No travel. No venue. Three hours a month, on the calendar for the year.Step 03: Becoming a MemberFit conversationA private thirty-minute conversation about the seat you hold, the decisions in front of you, and whether a forum is the right instrument at all. No presentation, no pressure. Fit profileA short confidential profile — role, scope, industry, and the issues you would bring. This is what protects the room: it confirms you are noncompeting with every seated member and that the issues you carry belong in that room. Selection and invitationCompass reviews the profile against the composition of the room and confirms there is no competitive conflict. If it fits, you receive an invitation to a specific room and a specific standing date. If it does not, you are told plainly and pointed to the room that does fit. Membership agreementA one-page agreement: the confidentiality standard, the eight membership standards, the monthly investment, and month-to-month terms. Nothing buried, no annual lock-in. Onboarding, then your first sessionA private onboarding session prepares you and the room before you ever sit down together. Then you join on the standing date as a full member — not an observer. Five steps, in order. Typically two to three weeks end to end. Membership runs $400 – $700 per month , renewed monthly — no annual contract. Step 04: Onboarding Into the GroupEverything that happens between the agreement and your first session. You are not dropped into a room mid-conversation. Onboarding prepares you for the members, and the members for you, so your first session works a real issue instead of an introduction. Private onboarding session (60–90 minutes)One-to-one with the facilitator. We map your enterprise, your seat, your current results, and the two or three issues actually keeping you awake — so your first forum works a real issue, not an introduction. Your opening issue, defined in writingYou leave onboarding with one issue stated in a single sentence, the consequence attached to it, and the decision it requires. That page is what the room works on day one. Confidentiality and standards confirmedThe confidentiality standard is absolute and mutual: what is said in the room stays in the room, without exception. You confirm the eight membership standards before the room is told your name. Member brief exchanged with the roomA short brief on who you are and what you carry goes to seated members, and you receive the same on them. Nobody walks in cold. Platform and calendar setStanding invitation for the year, video link, and a five-minute technology check so day one is not spent on audio. Camera on, one screen, no multitasking. Step 05: Day OneArrive on time, camera onThe session opens on the minute. Join five minutes early, from a private space, with the door closed and notifications off. Accountability roundSeated members report on what they committed to last month — what happened, what was learned, what happens next. You watch the standard before you are held to it. Your introduction (10 minutes)Not a company pitch. Who you are, what you are accountable for, and the issue you brought. The room already has your brief. Issue processing — Assess, Refine, CommitTwo to three issues are worked in depth, yours among them. Members ask questions and offer relevant experience; nobody prescribes. Expect to be challenged, and expect to challenge. Commitments on the recordYou leave with one to three written commitments — action, owner, timing, and the evidence of progress. Yours is read back to the room. Close and next sessionConfidentiality reaffirmed, next standing date confirmed. Sessions end on time, at or before three hours. Your first session, hour by hour — up to three hours, ending on time. What to bring
