Purpose
Turn a qualified, reviewed opportunity into a clear proposal and signed contract, priced so the engagement meets the practice’s margin.

- Qualified opportunity (WI-ADV-003)
- Strategic business review held with the sponsor
Inputs
- Agreed scope, outcomes, owners and measures
- Rate card and associate costs
- Proposal template v4
Steps
- Draft scope, outcomes, measures and the client’s and advisor’s responsibilities on the proposal template.
- Price every role at its full blended cost, including contract associates, and check the contribution margin is at least 30%.
- Review the draft with the sponsor before sending; adjust scope rather than price where needed.
- Send the proposal and contract within five working days of the review.
- On signature, open the engagement in the Workbench: milestones, fee schedule, hours budget and review dates.
- If the client chooses client CompassOS, record the sponsor’s access grant and its expiry date in the engagement record.
Safety and quality checks
- Margin check completed and recorded before sending.
- Client responsibilities are written down, not implied.
- No access to a client system is assumed without a written grant.
Output and evidence
- Signed proposal and contract
- Engagement record in the Workbench with milestones and hours budget
